Lorraine E. Heck, 89, of Southampton, PA passed away peacefully Monday, October 6, 2025. Lorraine was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 10, 1936, a daughter of the late Eleanor G. (Wojcik) and Michael N. Frankunas. She was the beloved wife of the late John C. Heck for 63 years before his passing in 2021.
Lorraine grew up in Port Richmond and attended Little Flower High School. She met and later married husband John C. in June 1958 and bought a home in the Tacony neighborhood of Philadelphia. Caring mother of the late John M. (Cheryl), Charles E. (Teresa), the late Francis N., and Thomas G. (Kimberly). Lorraine is survived by 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, widowed sisters Alice and Marion, and brother Nicholas (Cheryl).
Most of Lorraine's working years were as a Secretary in the Medical Offices at Germantown and Einstein Hospitals.
Lorraine was a devout member of Saint Bernard Parish in Holmesburg, participating in many parish groups such as the Cub Scouts, Home and School Association, and Catholic Daughters. Once the children were grown, she accompanied her husband on many sightseeing road trips from Maine to Georgia before moving to Southampton Estates, Bucks County in 2017.
She enjoyed needlepointing, knitting, making rosaries to donate and socializing with the Red Hat Society ladies group until health issues made these joys impossible.
Services for Lorraine will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Library of Accessible Media for Pennsylvanians. LAMP
