Louise T. Matozzo

Louise T. (Damiani) Matozzo passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at ManorCare Health Services in King of Prussia, PA. She was 88. Mrs. Matozzo was a resident of Bridgeport, PA. She worked as an Executive Secretary for the former Lees Carpet and Burlington Industries. Louise was a member of St. Augustine R.C. Church in Bridgeport, PA and loved to go Ballroom dancing with her late husband. Born in Bridgeport, PA on August 31, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Assunta "Susan" (Marcheggiano) Damiani. She was the wife of the late Joseph W. Steele, who died in 1971 and Joseph F. Matozzo Sr., who died in 2005.Surviving are her loving family including two sons, Joseph A. Steele of Havertown, PA and Louis T. Steele and his wife, Charlotte of Richmond, VA; two step-sons, Joseph F. Matozzo Jr. and his wife, Camilla of W. Norriton and Francis J. Matozzo and his wife, Nancy of Blue Bell, PA; ten grandchildren: Stacie, Shannan, and Jonathan Steele, Amanda Walker, Tara, Danielle, Joseph, Jeremy, Christopher and David Matozzo; many great-grandchildren; a brother, Thomas Damiani and his wife, Lucy of King of Prussia, PA; three sisters, Fanny Collins and her husband, Fritz of King of Prussia, PA, Jean Guidas and her husband, Mike of Bridgeport, PA, and Theresa Figaniak and her husband, Charles of Philadelphia, PA; a brother-in-law, John Vuotto of Jeffersonville, PA; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Nicholas, Louis, and Thomas Damiani; and a sister, Mary Vuotto.Relatives & friends are invited to her Funeral Mass at St. Augustine R.C. Church, 464 Ford St. Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 10:00am. Interment in St. Augustine Cemetery, Upper Merion Twp., PA.
