Lucy Geraldine (Paciello) Modica

Lucy Geraldine (Paciello) Modica passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 14, 2010, surrounded by her loving family at Mercy Suburban Hospital in E. Norriton, PA. She was 90. Mrs. Modica resided in W. Norriton PA and was formerly of Bridgeport and King of Prussia, PA. She was a retired sample maker for the former Cinderella Dress Company in King of Prussia. Lucy enjoyed bowling, crocheting and spending time with her family. Born in Norristown, PA on February 7, 1920, she was a daughter of the late John and Amelia (Fragale) Paciello. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Modica who died in 1982. Surviving are her loving family including two daughters, Katherine (Chris) Carras of Lansdale, PA and Joann (Daniel) Kuhn of Limerick, PA; a son, Russell (Karen) Modica of W. Norriton, PA; ten grandchildren: Christina, John, Tony Jr., Tara, Russell, Corey, Matthew, Danielle, Jessica and Daniel; four great-grandchildren: Gabrielle, Brayden, Salvatore and Stella; four sisters: Palma Guarino, Rose Korkus and Theresa Fiorentine, all of E. Norriton, PA and Philomena (Paul) Pezzotti of Berwyn, PA and many nephews and nieces. Mrs. Modica was preceded in death by a daughter, Geraldine Urbano; four brothers: Joseph, Anthony, Salvatore and John Jr.; and four sisters: Mary Panish, Felicia Capaci, Catherine Paciello and Frances Tarlecki. Relatives and friends are invited to Lucy's Funeral Mass at St. Matthew Church, 219 Fayette St. Conshohocken, PA 19428 on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 11:00am. Officating will be the Rev. James W. Donlon, Pastor. Interment in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA. Her viewing will be Thursday morning from 9:30am to 10:50am, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lucy's memory and her late daughter's Geraldine Urbano's memory to Lung Cancer research at the Abramson Cancer Center, 3535 Market St., Suite 750, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
