Luis Antonio Hernandez

Luis Antonio Hernandez   Mr. Luis Antonio Hernandez, 74, Phila.. , passed away at 12:20 PM, Friday April 16, 2010 at Albert Einstein Medical Center. Mr. Hernandez was born in Luquillo, Puerto Rico  on December 10, 1935, the son of the late Antonio and Cecilia (Ramos).  He grew up in Fajardo, Puerto Rico.  He has lived in Philadelphia for the past 57 years.   He worked as a Machine Operator in the garment Industry and was a member of The Boulevard Seventh day Adventist Church     He was the loving husband of Carmen  (Mercado) Hernandez.  and survived by Daughters:  Linda Torres and Yvonne Hernandez and one son Luis A. Jr.   Dad loved to go back to visit Puerto Rico, although Philadelphia was his home.  He loved going to Myrtle Beach, SC and Wildwood, NJ with his family.  He helped in the community and his church.  His favorite past time was serving others.  Dad loved to work on the house and car.  He loved talking with people and hearing their stories.  His favorite topic was GOD and his soon coming.  He was patient and kind to every one. His memorial service will be held at the Boulevard Seventh day Adventist Church  8441 Roosevelt Blvd. Philadelphia, PA 19152 on Sunday, May 2 at 1:00 PM. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the educational fund at the Blvd. Seventh-day Adventist Church, 8441 Roosevelt Blvd. Philadelphia, PA 19152.
