Obituary for Luis Arnaldo Vazquez-Gonzalez (1961–2024)
Luis Arnaldo Vazquez-Gonzalez, 63, of Elkins Park, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 9th, 2024, at Jeanes Hospital. Born in Juana Diaz, Puerto Rico, on July 25, 1961, Luis was the beloved son of the late Maria Gonzalez and Cleofe Vazquez.
Luis was a man of many passions. His love for cooking was evident in every dish he prepared, infusing each meal with warmth and flavor. Whether it was a family gathering or a quiet dinner at home, Luis’s culinary creations brought joy to those around him.
Baseball held a special place in Luis’s heart. He shared this passion with his sons and even created a league for the children in his community.His eyes would light up as he recounted memorable moments from games gone by, sharing stories with anyone who would listen.
But beyond his hobbies, Luis’s true devotion lay with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. His children were the center of his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Luis’s unwavering commitment to his family extended beyond mere words; he led by example, always striving to do what was right, even when faced with challenges.
While raising his children each morning, Luis would rise early, don his apron, and head to the kitchen. The aroma of breakfast would fill the house as he prepared meals for his children and wife. His love language was expressed through food, and those lucky enough to share a meal with him knew they were cherished.
Luis Arnaldo Vazquez-Gonzalez leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and perseverance. No matter what obstacles life threw his way, Luis found a way to just acknowledge the good in all of it. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the flavors of the meals he cooked, and the warmth of family gatherings.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Luis on Friday, August 23, 2024 at 9:30am-11:00am at the Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home (507 West Ave., Jenkintown, PA) with his memorial service starting at 11:00 am. Followed by an Interment at Lawnview Cemetery.
