M. Bernice (Kellett) Eastman passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at the age of 93, in King of Prussia, PA. Bernice was born on August 28, 1930 in Shinglehouse, PA. She was the daughter of the late James G. and Nettie E. (Price) Kellett. Bernice was married to the love of her life, the late Richard A. Eastman, for over 70 years before his passing in 2019.
Bernice and her husband lived in King of Prussia, PA for 22 years. A job opportunity arose and they returned to Allegany, NY where they were both from. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Allegany NY, where she was trained as a Stephen Minister and was able to support those in her community going through times of crisis.
Bernice loved to work with her hands. Turning old fur coats into teddy bears, crocheting, quilting and a bountiful love for baking.
Bernice was able to travel the world with her husband. A job opportunity came about and off to Singapore for 4 years. They both were avid golfers. Snow birding from NY to Florida where they were able to enjoy playing golf year-round.
Bernice and her husband moved back to PA in 2014. Where she became a member of the UM Senior Center and a returning member of Valley Forge Presbyterian Church. She loved to lunch with her friends, socialize, and attend a weekly sing a long at the Senior Center.
Surviving is her loving family including two sons, Daniel J. (Cynthia) Eastman and Stephen A. Eastman; a daughter, Carol Ann Eastman; a granddaughter, Mary Katharine (Adam) Dinney; two great grandchildren: Lilly R. Dinney and Dawson R. Dinney; and many nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by a brother, James D. Kellett and a daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Eastman. Bernice’s family will receive relatives and friends at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Route 202) Bridgeport, PA on Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 10:00 am to 10:50am, with her Memorial Service starting at 11:00am. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions can be made in Bernice’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
