Mae Doubet

Mae Doubet, 95 of Garnet Valley , died March 12th at home surrounded by her family.  Born in Chester , Pa.she was the daughter of the late Rebecca and William Burk.  She attended Holy Savior Grammar School andChester and St. Robert High Schools where she met her future husband J. Edward Doubet and enjoyed 65 years of marriage before Ed  passed away in 2007.   She was a homemaker and devoted mother of seven children, and grandmother of 19 and great grandmother of 27.    Mrs. Doubet is survived by her daughters Diane Kratsa (Gus) of Wawa, Mary Hickey (Michael) of  GarnetValley , and Elaine Burke (Bob) of Garnet Valley with whom she lived.  Also, her sons J. Edward Doubet Jr. (Juli) of Mason, Ohio, Daniel J. Doubet (Barbara) of Chester Heights, Dennis J. Doubet (Dawn) and Michael C. Doubet (Valery) both of Wilmington, Del.,   Mrs. Doubet also has one surviving brother Jack Burk of Montgomery County , Maryland , and was predeceased by two other brothers William Burk and Frank Burk of Arizona . Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 16th at St.Thomas the Apostle Parish, 430 Valleybrook Rd., Glen Mills, PA.  A viewing will be held from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. at the church.  Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
