Margaret I. 'Peggy' Carras

Margaret I. "Peggy" (Price) Carras passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 1, 2013, surrounded by her loving family at the Neighborhood VNA Hospice in West Chester, PA. She was 92. Mrs. Carras was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. She worked as an office clerk for 22 years for the John B. Middletown Tobacco Co. in King of Prussia. Peggy graduated from St. Clair High School, Class of 1939. She was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in King of Prussia. Peggy was an avid seamstress and she loved to garden. Born in St. Clair, PA on July 5, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Ida (Thomas) Price. Surviving is her loving family including her husband of 70 years, John C. Carras; two sons, Chris J. Carras and his wife, Kathy, of Lansdale, PA and Dennis J. Carras and his wife, Cynthia, of Levittown, PA; two daughters, Margaret J. D'Iorio and her partner, Sonni, of New London, PA and Lynne D. Humphries and her husband, Bryan, of Jim Thorpe, PA; eight grandchildren: Michael, Lorraine, Sharon, Christina, John, Stephanie, Nicholas and Alexander; six great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Catherine Hefner and Ruth Houser. Peggy's Funeral Service will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 132 E. Valley Forge Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 10:00 am. Officiating will be Pastor Julie K. DeWerth. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday morning from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church. Interment will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Peggy's memory to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 132 E.
