She shared with Jim her love of her dogs, traveling, dining, devotion to family and the better half of their tandem bicycle. Born in Hollis, Queens, NY, on October 6, 1959, she was a daughter of the late John and Helen (Staniewicz) Smigelski. Surviving her are her loving family including her husband of 34 years, Jim “Roddy” Connell; a daughter, Samantha Connell of Philadelphia, PA; a son, Daniel Connell of Honolulu, Hawaii; two brothers, John and Stephen Smigelski; a sister, Barbara Pulaski; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and a DVR full of Law & Order episodes.
