Margaret Mcerlean

Margaret “Peggy” McErlean (nee O’Kane), 94, born County Derry, Northern Ireland passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025 at her residence. Born on February 9, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Dan and Annie. She is predeceased by her siblings Mary (Darragh), Bella (Ward), Alice (McKenna), Pat, James, Danny and Archie. Peggy emigrated from Ireland in 1960 after her wedding and made her home in Jenkintown. She was deeply devoted to her husband, family, and faith. Peggy’s favorite pastime was gardening; she spent all her free time enjoying the outdoors. She was a wonderful baker and specialized in Irish scone.

She is predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years James. Peggy is survived by her sister Susan (McNicholl) and loving children Bernadette (Michael), Jim (Danielle), Brendan (Karen), Maureen (Paul) and Geraldine (Dave); and her devoted grandchildren: Colleen (Nick), Rachel, Kyle (Caroline), Kiera, Gavin, Declan, Ryan (Paige), Brenna (Nick) and Macy.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing from 9:15-10:15am and to her funeral mass at 10:30am on Saturday, February 22nd, both at Immaculate Conception BVM Church, 602 West Avenue, Jenkintown, PA 19046.
