Margaret M. Parisi, 98, of Ambler, PA, formerly of 1305 71st Ave, Philadelphia, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on May 9, 1926, in Houtzdale, PA, Margaret was the daughter of the late Claire (Kelley) and John Adelsberger. One of ten children, she learned the values of hard work, resilience, and unwavering family devotion from an early age. She carried those lessons throughout her life, touching the hearts of all who knew her.
Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Vito J. Parisi, with whom she shared 65 wonderful years of marriage. They wed on October 2, 1948, building a life centered on faith, family, and unconditional love. Together, they raised eleven children: Robert (Lynn), Patricia Topper, the late Thomas, Juliet Polizzi (Nicholas), Joseph (Patricia), Theresa Potvin (Timothy), Maria, Vincent (Nancy), Francis (Nancy), Margaret DiDomenico (Michael), and Claire Roy. They also shared many cherished moonlights in Vermont. Margaret was a devoted mother, a cherished grandmother to 26 grandchildren, and a great-grandmother to 25.
A woman of intelligence and grace, Margaret graduated high school first in her class. She often reminisced about her days taking tap, toe, and ballet dance lessons. She worked at the Pennsylvania Railroad during World War II before marrying the love of her life, Vito. Later in life, Margaret found joy in life’s simple pleasures—playing solitaire, working on word searches, and always having chocolate on hand to share with visitors. Her sharp wit and clever sayings were always sure to bring a smile to those around her.
As the heart and matriarch of her family, Margaret was a constant source of love and support. She never hesitated to help whenever a new baby arrived, always putting the needs of others before her own. Whether caring for her parents, in-laws, children, or grandchildren, she embodied selflessness, kindness, and quiet strength.
Margaret’s legacy of love, generosity, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at her viewing on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:45 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am, both at St. Joseph’s Church, 16 S.
