Margaret A. 'Maggie' Reese

Margaret " Maggie" A. (March) Reese passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 25,2014 at Manor Care Health Services in King of Prussia, PA. 90 years of life, she was born on January 8, 1924 in Norristown, PA. Maggie attended Norristown Schools, graduating in 1941 and worked at the former Allan Wood Steel Plant and the Reading Railroad as a keypunch operator. In later years she worked at Sacred Heart Hospital in Medical Records.She was a life member of the Lower Providence Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary and life member and past president of Fairmount Engine Co. Ladies Auxiliary. Maggie was a member of Christ Church UCC in Norristown, PA. She loved making doughnuts during the Lower Providence Fireman's fair. Maggie also volunteered many hours at the church office.She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent and Pearl (Frock) March; her husbands, Wilbur Stiteler and Ellis Reese, Sr.; and a sister, Jeanette Brower. Surviving are her loving family including her sons, Richard (Linda) Stiteler of Trooper, PA and Todd (Rita) Reese of Wilmington, DE; her grandchildren: Andrew (Nicole) Stiteler of Pottstown, PA, David (Erica) Stiteler of Norristown, PA, Suzanne Stiteler and her fiancée, Nick Corliss of Trooper, PA and Todd M. Reese of Coatesville, PA who is currently serving in the US Army; great-grandchildren: Regan, Piper and Savannah; nieces and nephews, Margaret, Paul (Harriett), Bruce, John and Glenn Gratz; and a great-niece, Maggie Gratz. Maggie also leaves behind a host of friends from 90 years of living life her way. Her most treasured time in the last several years were times spent with her granddaughter, Suzanne and great-granddaughter, Savannah, who kept her "going" with their visits.The family wishes to thank all the staff at Mercy Suburban Hospital 2nd floor and the HCR Manor Care in King of Prussia for the compassion and care provided to her during her illness.A Memorial Service will be held after the deployment of her grandson is completed in mid 2015. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Maggie's memory to the Christ Church UCC, 1003 W.
