Margaret "Peggy" Rhoads

Margaret M. “Peggy” (Ganley) Rhoads passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. She was 78. Mrs. Rhoads was a resident of Norristown, PA. She worked for the United States Postal Service for most of her working career. Peggy was a member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, PA. She loved diners, Elvis, Angels, and the Philadelphia Eagles. But more than anything else, Peggy loved her family. Born in Norristown, PA on April 23, 1940, she was a daughter of the late James and Vera (DiAmico) Ganley. She was the wife of the late Norman Walter “Sonny” Rhoads, who died in 1994. Surviving is her loving family including two daughters, Susan Leonard and her husband, Richard, of King of Prussia, PA and Shawnie Pope and her husband, Danny, of De Leon Springs, Florida; six grandchildren: Ian, C.J., Ashley, Patrick B., Hunter and Patrick R.; three great-grandchildren: Ryan, Samuel, Morgan and another baby boy due in May; and two nephews, James Jarosz and Andrew Jarosz. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Robbins, and her sister and best friend, Patricia Jarosz. Relatives and friends are invited to Peggy’s Funeral Service at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA on Monday, April 1, 2019 at 11:00 am, with her viewing from 9 to 10:50 am.
