Margaret Jane Speacht

Margaret J. Speacht, age 93 of Lansdale, PA passed away on March 6, 2018. Born in Bridgeton, NJ to the late Nicholas and Christine (Vanderweele) Geers. She was the wife of the late Edward Speacht. She was also preceded in death by her brother, S. Gary Geers. Margaret was in the United States Navy and was stationed in the San Diego Naval Hospital as a hospital apprentice. In 1945, she came back to the Philadelphia area where she spent many years singing in the choir at Haws Avenue United Methodist Church in Norristown. When she later moved to Brittany Point Estates in Lansdale, she joined the Songsters. Margaret in survived by her 2 brothers, Nicholas J. Geers (Peggy L.) and Gerald D. Geers. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Wed. March 14, 2018 from 10-11 am with a service immediately following at 11 am, all at the Szpindor-Meyers Funeral Home 101 N. Park Ave. (Route 363 Trooper) Eagleville, PA 19403. Interment at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the ACTS Legacy Foundation of Brittany Pointe 1001 S. Valley Forge Rd. Lansdale, PA 19446.
