Margaret M. (Leonard) Torrente

Margaret M. (Leonard) Torrente passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Season's Hospice in Phoenixville, PA. She was 93. Mrs. Torrente was a resident of Royersford, PA and was previously of King of Prussia, PA. She worked as a clerk for the National Liberty Insurance Co. in Paoli, PA. Margaret was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, where she a member of the church's Legion of Mary. She was also active with the Alzheimer's Association.Born in Glasgow, Scotland on June 8, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Blee) Leonard. She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Torrente, who died in 1984. Surviving is her loving family including two sons, Michael J. & Kathy Torrente of Decatur, GA and Frank C. & Theresa Torrente of King of Prussia, PA; three daughters: Linda & Robert McCoy of Gilbertsville, PA, Mary & Gerald Sobotor of Pottstown, PA and Margaret & Bruce Meck of Mohton, PA; son-in-law, Joseph Murphy of Swedeland, PA; 15 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Josephine Murphy; and five sisters. Relatives & friends are invited to Margaret's Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11:00 am. Her viewing is Saturday from 9 to 10:50 am, at the church.
