Margaret M. Wood

Margaret M. “Peggy” Wood Of Trooper Margaret M. “Peggy” Wood age 76 of Trooper passed away after a short illness on Monday, May 5, 2014 at Mercy Suburban Hospital.  Born in Norristown to the late Thomas and Mary Elise Hurley, her husband, Walter A. Wood and brother, Bill Hurley also preceded her in death.  Peggy was a graduate of Norristown High School and retired from Collegeville Flag.  She loved her pets and spending time with her grandchildren. Peggy is survived by 5 children, Walter A.J. Wood (Joann Hogan) of Norristown, MaryRose Wood of Bridgeport, Robert A. Wood (wife Lori) of Gilbertsville, Patricia A. Wood of Norristown and Theresa M. Wood of Royersford; a brother, Thomas “Bud” Hurley (Dorothy); 3 sisters, Mary Soppick, Eleanor Shainline and Agnes Crist (John); 5 grandchildren, Tim Campbell, Nick O’Donnell, Robert B. Wood, Brianna Wood and Amillia Bloom. Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing from 9 to 9:50 a.m. Friday, May 9th at Visitation BVM Church, 196 N. Trooper Rd. Norristown, Pa followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at the church.  Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
