Marguerite Phyllis (Gill) Collins passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 24, 2012, surrounded by her loving family at Parkhouse Providence Pointe in Royersford, PA. She was 86. Mrs. Collins was a resident of King of Prussia, PA for more than 55 years. She was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, PA. Marguerite attended Roxborough High School and upon graduation in 1945, worked for the former Bell Telephone Co. in an operator/supervisory position until her marriage in 1952. She liked bowling, ceramics, paint-by-numbers, crocheting, gardening, embroidery, crafting and reading. She loved going to her summer home in Brigantine, New Jersey and spending long days on the beach. Phyllis was a very social person and enjoyed gossiping with neighbors, chatting with relatives and talking with friends in Genuardi's supermarket. She had an infectious laugh, and she laughed often.Born in the Manayunk section of Philadelphia, PA on September 14, 1926, she was a daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (McIntyre) Gill. She was the wife of the late Charles F. "Reds" Collins, Jr., who died in 1994. Surviving is her loving family including two daughters, Cynthia E. Collins-Sonnefeld of Royersford, PA and Colleen M. Keller of Royersford, PA; two sons, Charles F. Collins, III and his wife, Donna, of Chadds Ford, PA and Craig S. Collins of Boyertown, PA; eight grand-children: Kristin, Deena, Jennifer, Nicole, Erin, Kelly, Craig, Jr. and Lauren; and three great-grandchildren: Morgan, John Charles and Jionna. Relatives & friends are invited to Marguerite's Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at 10:00 am. Officiating will be the Rev. Martin T. Cioppi, Pastor. Her viewings will be Wednesday evening from 6 to 8:00 pm, at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405; also Thursday morning from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church.
