Maria L. Demarco

Maria L. (Sabato) DeMarco passed away peacefully on Friday, June 1, 2018, with her family by her side at Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, PA. She was 70. Mrs. DeMarco was a resident of Bridgeport, PA. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and a former member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, both in Bridgeport. Maria enjoyed cooking, baking, watching soap operas, shopping, and going to church. She was a very social and caring person who loved spending time with her family and friends. Born in Montella, Italy, on January 13, 1948, she was a daughter of Gabriele and Filomena (Capone) Sabato. She was the wife of the late Salvatore “Sal” DeMarco, who died in 2016. Surviving is her loving family including three sons: Generoso “Joseph” (Stacey) DeMarco of Blue Bell, PA, Antonio (Michelle) DeMarco of King of Prussia, PA and Salvatore DeMarco of Bridgeport, PA; two grandchildren, Quinn and Maclane; two step-grandsons, Tommy and David; a step-great-grandson, Henry; two brothers, Pasquale (Mafalda) Sabato of Montella, Italy and Franco (Carmela) Sabato of Plymouth Meeting, PA; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by a brother, Michele (Rita) Sabato of Montella, Italy. Relatives & friends are invited to Maria’s Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson St., Bridgeport, PA on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 11:00 am. Her viewing is Friday from 9 to 10:45 am, at the church. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Maria’s memory to the Kidney Foundation of Central PA, 1500 Paxton St., Suite 101, Harrisburg, PA 17104.
