Marian J. Vizy

Marian Vizy, of Bensalem, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 9th, 2024, while surrounded by her family. She was 90 years old. Marian was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 30, 1933, a daughter of the late Elizabeth Rose (nee Szczypiorski) and George Michael Martin. She is predeceased by her son, Gary Vizy.

She was the beloved wife of Adam J. Vizy.

Marian is survived by her husband Adam; children, Adam Jr. (Vonda), Lisa B. Fox, George A. (Michele), Gabrielle K. Clarke (Eric). She is also survived by her grandchildren, April, Adam, David, Alexa, Carly, Frankie, Dayna, Jason, Gabby, Eric, and nine great-grandchildren.

Marian grew up in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia, was a graduate of Little Flower High School. Adam and Marian met at Connstatter and thus chose that as their wedding venue. They were married for 60 years.

Needless to say, she was a great wife, mother, grandmother and Great Grandmother, and just genuinely cared about people. She was known for her smile and kindness towards all.

Marian worked as a secretary at Philco Electronics. After her marriage, she quit her job to raise her children and later, after her children were grown, worked as a cashier at Woolworths. She enjoyed vacationing down the shore, particularly in Cape May and Wildwood. She was an avid animal lover but mostly dogs, squirrels and birds which was apparent by the line of animals lined up at the door. Later in life she like to watch the Hallmark channel.

She loved visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marian will be missed by all!

Family and friends are invited to Marian’s viewing on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, from 9:45 am - 10 :45 am at Assumption BVM, 1900 Meadowbrook Road, Feasterville, PA, followed by her funeral mass starting at 11 am.

Interment at Resurrection Cemetery Bensalem, PA.
