Marie Grace Crescente

Marie Grace (Mallace) Crescente passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023, at Paoli Hospital. She was 84. Grace lived a very full, loving, and compassionate life by dedicating herself to the three most important things to her: family, faith, and friends.

Known as Grace, she was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, PA, and longtime member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Grace was a very devout Catholic and very active in the church as a member of the Sodality. Every July she could be found working the Mount Carmel Feast’s Catholic Shop. She was recently a member of Holy Saviour Church in Norristown.

Grace worked as a Human Resource Specialist for John Wanamaker and Saks Fifth Ave. She found joy in her career especially with her fellow employees.

She was blessed to be surrounded by a group of friends whom she cherished and shared many memories.

Grace was most importantly a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and cousin. She treasured every moment with her family. She especially adored the precious time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Born in Bridgeport, PA on September 9, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Margaret (Scandone) Mallace.

Surviving is her loving family including her husband of 61 years, Samuel Joseph Crescente; 2 daughters, Donna (Brad) McCurrie and Deborah (Michael Sr.) Milke; 5 grandchildren: Matthew, Megan, Michael Jr. (Amy), Andrew and Caitlin (Nicholas) Mort; 2 great grandchildren, Michael III and David; as well as many other loving relatives.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Mallace.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at Holy Saviour Church 407 E. Main St. Norristown, PA from 10:00-10:50am, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00am. Inurnment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Grace’s name to Paoli Hospital Foundation or Catholic Charities Appeal
