Marie B. Griffith

Marie B. Griffith passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at ManorCare Health Services in King of Prussia, PA, where she resided for the past 2 years. She was 93. Mrs. Griffith was formerly a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, PA. She worked as a nurse's aide for the Norristown State Hospital for 20 years, until her retirement in the 1970's. Marie was a member of Wayne United Methodist Church and the Bridgeport Senior Citizens Group. Born in Bridgeport, PA on April 12, 1918, she was a daughter of the late William E. and Ethel (Watters) Griffith. Surviving is her loving family including a daughter, Mary Lou G. Keown and her husband, Ray, of King of Prussia, PA; a granddaughter, Marisa D. DelBuono and her husband, Anthony; and five great-grandchildren: Jordan, Mariah, Anthony, Sabrina and Dominic. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, William B. and James G. Griffith; and 2 sisters, Lillian Manroski and Helen M. Griffith.Marie's Funeral Service will be held at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at 10:30am. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday morning from 9 to 10:20am, at the funeral home.
