Marie D. Kilpatrick

Marie Dolores (Watters) Kilpatrick passed away peacefully on Monday, August 16, 2021 at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in Norristown, PA. She was 96 years old. Marie “Ree” was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, PA and a member of the former St. Augustine R.C. Church in Bridgeport. She was born on September 27, 1924 to the late Harry and Emma (Gear) Watters, also of Bridgeport. She graduated from St. Augustine’s Grade School in 1938 and Bridgeport High School in 1942. She then graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Nursing School and attained her Pennsylvania Registered Nursing Licensing in 1945. During World War II, while attending nursing school, Marie was a member of the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps and had duty at Camp Lee in Virginia. After Jack’s return from WWII and Marie’s completion of her nursing career, they were married on April 22, 1946 and raised a family of 5 children in Bridgeport. Surviving are her three daughters: Karen A. Mastercola and her husband Joseph, Marie T. Valerio and Celeste T. Lawless and her husband “Boe”, all of Bridgeport, PA; one son, James C. Kilpatrick and his wife Heidi of Owings, MD; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, John J. “Jack” Kilpatrick; and son, John T. “Flea” Kilpatrick. Funeral services and interment will be private.
