Meehan Mrs. Marie R. Meehan, 95, of Philadelphia, passed away Monday, October 28th, 2013 at her residence.  She is formerly of Tacony.  Marie was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 17, 1918, the daughter of the late James and Nellie (Grimes) McSherry. She was a Cafeteria worker at St. Hubert's High School for 11 years retiring in 1978.  She was a member of St. Leo the Great Church for most of her life. She was the widow of William Meehan.  They were married at St. Stephen's Church on June 14, 1947.  They had been married for 49 years until his passing in August of 1996. Beloved wife of the late William.  Loving mother of Mary Ellen Meehan, Eileen DeLeo (Michael), Michael Meehan (Nancy), Kathleen Meehan and Maureen Macaluso (Thomas).  Loving Grandmother of 8 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.  Dear sister of Father Hugh McSherry, James, Joseph and Helen McSherry.   Condolences: www.MeyersFH.com Relatives and Friends are invited to her viewing Thursday October 31, 2013 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at the Walter J. Meyers Funeral Home 6645 Torresdale Ave. Phila., PA 19135. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM at St. Leo the Great Upper Church 6658 Keystone St.  Interment will be at St. Dominic  Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers Donations in her memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 appreciated.
