Marie M. Nystrom

Marie M. (Steigerwald) Nystrom passed away peacefully on Monday, April 19, 2021 at Woodbridge Assisted Living in Kimberton, PA. She was 83. Mrs. Nystrom was a resident of Phoenixville, PA and was formerly of King of Prussia, PA. She enjoyed working as a restaurant hostess for the former John Wanamaker in the King of Prussia Mall. Marie was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia. She loved bowling, flowers and gardening, reading, crocheting and playing cards with a very competitive spirit. Marie also enjoyed going to the casinos to play the slot machines. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. Born in Yugoslavia, on July 16, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Elizabeth (Schneider) Steigerwald; and the wife of the late Richard “Dick” Nystrom, Sr. Surviving is her loving family including her three children: Theresa A. (David) Zablosky of Royersford, PA, Linda E. (Thomas) Altier of Schwenksville, PA and Robert J. (Christene) Nystrom of Phoenixville, PA; three grandchildren: Stephanie, Eva and Nicholas; and a sister, Liz White. She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Nystrom, Jr. and a brother, John Steigerwald. The family will receive relatives & friends at the Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Masks and social distancing are required. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marie’s memory to the Montgomery County SPCA, 19 E.
