Marie (Mitzi) Hettler Plunkett of Hatboro, passed away and joined her dear daughter Bette, her brother Kenneth George Hettler, and sister Louise Hettler Fagan, on December 17, 2016. She is survived by her husband of 66 years and best friend, Joseph A. Plunkett and seven living children and their families. Joseph and wife Claire, Marie and husband Maldwyn Cooper, Kenneth and wife Terry Lynn, Kathy and husband Robert Mahoney, son in-law Kevin Henning, Thomas and wife Anna Gill, Louise and husband Michael Webb, James and wife Shannon and 20 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Also, many nieces and nephews. Besides being a full time mother and grandmother, which she loved, Mitzi enjoyed volunteering with Beulah Henkle Blind Group of Hatboro, St. David’s Charismatic Prayer Group of Willow Grove and Neumann Spirituality Group of Warminster. Mitzi always enjoyed playing guitar at all of her activities, especially with Celestia Performing Arts Group in the area. Being a volunteer at Independence National Park in Philadelphia was also a highlight of her life. She enjoyed introducing all visitors to the many treasures of the Park. A Memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Catholic Church 1410 Almshouse Rd, Jamison, PA 18929 on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Friends are invited to greet the family from 9:30 AM until the start of Mass. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
