Marie E. (Stanley) Stone

Marie E. (Stanley) Stone passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Phoenixville Hospital in Phoenixville, PA. She was 89. Mrs. Stone was a resident of Elverson, PA and was formerly of King of Prussia, PA. She worked as a Clerk of Courts at the Montgomery Co. Courthouse, as a receptionist for the former Commonwealth Bank in Norristown, PA and as a greeter at the Morgantown Wal-Mart. Marie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Port Kennedy in King of Prussia, PA and the King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary. Born in Norristown, PA on December 28, 1921, she was a daughter of the late John T. and Marie J. (Bleret) Stanley. She was the wife of the late Charles T. Stone, who died in 1967. Surviving is her loving family including three sons: Charles T. Stone and his wife, Patti of Elverson, PA, William H. Stone of Gilbertsville, PA and David J. Stone and his wife, Wendy of Maple Glen, PA; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; a brother, Daniel W. Stanley and his wife, Lorraine of Upper Black Eddy, PA; a sister, Margaret C. Barrow of Norristown, PA; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Eugene F. and John T. Stanley. Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Service at the First Presbyterian Church of Port Kennedy, 1084 Old Valley Forge Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 11:00am. Officiating will be the Rev. Daniel Morse, Pastor. Interment private.
