Marion E. McDonald passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at her residence in King of Prussia, PA. She was 71. Ms. McDonald worked as a Registered Nurse for the Army War College in Carlisle, PA, retiring in 1994. She was a member of St. Augustine R.C. Church in Bridgeport, PA. Marion was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam Era. She served as a captain from 1968 to 1971, including 1 year in Fort Polk, LA and 2 years in the 249th General Hospital in Japan. Born in Philadelphia, PA on November 27, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Leo and Mary (Glancey) McDonald. Surviving is her loving family including two sisters, Mary S. Fitzpatrick of Warrington, PA and Marylyn McCue of King of Prussia, PA; and many nephews and nieces. Marion's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine R.C. Church, 464 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 10:00 am. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marion's memory to the Missionary Sisters of Charity, 630 DeKalb St., Norristown, PA 19401; the Lupus Foundation of Delaware Valley, 25 Washington Lane, Suite 39-1, Wyncote, PA 19095; or the American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Road, Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.
