Mary A. Murphy

Mary A. Murphy (nee Mastrangelo) passed away peacefully on June 18, 2017. Preceded in death by her devoted husband Joseph J. Survived by her caring sister, Catherine Kavanaugh; faithful children, Eileen (Thomas) Campbell, Deacon Joseph A. (Linda), and William J. (Clare); nine loving grandchildren; 19 precious great-grandchildren; along with numerous loyal nieces and nephews and their families. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at St. Katherine of Sienna Church, 9700 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19114. There will be no visitation or viewing prior to the Mass. So that parking is available, it is suggested that attendees arrive no earlier than 11:15, as there is a service scheduled prior to Mary’s Mass. Interment will be private. The family would like to recognize the affectionate, skilled, and compassionate staff of River’s Edge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for giving Mary five years of friendship and happiness and for letting her be “Bad Mary.” We are also grateful to Compassus Hospice Care, who, along with her nurses, contributed to making the final days of Mary’s life so meaningful.
