Mary 'Beatrice' Barton

Mrs. Mary B. ‘Beatrice’ Barton, 94, of Philadelphia passed away on Friday, September 13th, 2013 peacefully at the Philadelphia Protestant Home. She was formerly of Tacony.    Mary was born in Beans Cove, PA on August 19, 1919, the daughter of the late A. Thomas and Marie S. (O'Neal) Donahoe.   She worked at Celenese Corporation of America, which was a parachute company, during WW II prior to becoming a housewife to her loving Husband George.  She was the widow of George Barton. They were married for 37 years until his passing in 1981.     She was Roman Catholic and had been a member of St. Leo, St Bartholomew and St. William Churches.  She is also preceded in death by her parents Brothers and sisters.   She is survived by her son Paul Barton and his wife Patricia; three grandchildren Thomas (Rajan), Daniel and Steven and 3 great grandchildren Samantha, Natalie and Abigail.  Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Wednesday September 18, 2013 from 9:30-10:20 AM and her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30  AM at St. William’s Church 6200 Rising Sun Ave. Phila., PA 19111.  Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery Yeadon, PA.  In lieu of flowers Donations in her memory to Cerebral Palsy International Research Foundation 186 Princeton Hightstown Rd.
