Mary E. 'Marie' Downs

Obituary Mary E “Marie” (Conlon) Downs passed away peacefully on July 28, 2013, surrounded by her loving family in Audubon, PA. She was a former resident of Philadelphia and Glenolden and a graduate of West Catholic Girls in Philadelphia, PA, Class of 1957. She was a member of Visitation B.V.M. in Trooper, PA. Marie enjoyed spending time with her growing family, traveling and spending time in Avalon by the bay. Born in Philadelphia, PA on February 27, 1939, she was the daughter of the late John Conlon and Mary (Reilly) Conlon. She was the beloved wife of Lee Downs and is survived by her large loving family, her sister Sheila McCann and brother John “Jackie” Conlon, nine children, Teri Downs (Conshohocken), Christina “Tina” Downs (Alden), Joseph “Joe” Downs and wife Monica (Norristown), Barbara Jean Giacalone and husband Pierre (Sanatoga), David Downs and wife Brenda (Audubon), Robert “Bob” Downs and wife Nancy (West Chester), Kimberlee “Kim” Bossard and husband Bill (Havertown), Brian Downs and wife Jennifer (Locust Grove, VA), Staci Grayson and husband Russell (Lansdale); as well as 18 grandchildren, Amy (Sean), Mark John (Jackie), Maria, Daryl, Amanda, David Julian, Chiah, Kayla, Alexa, Anthony John, Zack, Dalton, Lee, Tyler, Brandon, Lee Richard, Sean, Samantha and 4 great grandchildren Kayla, Ava, Savannah, and Blake. She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Irene Smith and Teresa Gorman and her brother, Francis Conlon.
