Mary B. Dugan

Mary B. Dugan, 100, of Jeffersonville, PA passed away Friday, November 3rd while in the company of family.

Mary was born on December 16, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA. She was the daughter of the late Nora (Powers) and Joseph G. Neilon. Mary was the oldest of 3 children

After completing high school, Mary got married to the late James Dugan. They went on to have 2 daughters, Louise and Kathleen.

Mary worked as a homemaker and for the Bell telephone company. Mary enjoyed many hobbies and activities throughout her life, some of her favorites were reading, traveling around the world, shopping, bowling, playing cards, volunteering and socializing. Mary’s outstanding interest in learning was demonstrated when later in life she took Spanish classes.

Mary will also be remembered for her ability to share words of wisdom, tell stories and most of all her humor and unconditional love.

Mary expressed ongoing appreciation throughout her final days for cards, phone calls, video chats and visits.

Mary is survived by her two daughters, Louise (Joseph) McBride of West Chester, PA and Kathleen (late George) Arsenich, 3 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Irene N. Keane. Mary was predeceased by her brother, Joe Neilon and her husband, James Dugan

The family would like to thank Visiting Angels and the Amedysis/Willow Tree Hospice team, for their support and care for Mary and her family during her final months.
