Mary (Valerio) Finizio

Mary (Valerio) Finizio passed away peacefully on Friday, January 14, 2011, surrounded by her loving family at Mercy Suburban Hospital in East Norriton, PA. She was 87. Mrs. Finizio was a life long resident of Norristown, PA. She worked for 20 years as a cashier for the former A & P Supermarket. During World War II, Mary worked at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. She was a member of Holy Saviour Church in Norristown, PA. Born on May 10, 1923, she was the beloved daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine (Bono) Valerio. Surviving is her loving family including a son, Anthony Finizio and his wife, Rosemarie of Salem, NH: two daughters, M. Theresa Schoener and her husband, William of Nokomis, FL and Joan Ramsey and her husband, John of Erie, PA; nine grandchildren: Michael, Steven, Andrew, Sharon, Matthew, John, Jason, Margaret and James; 10 great-grandchildren: and many loving nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by four brothers: Michael, John, Russell and William Valerio.Relatives and friends are invited to Mary's Funeral Mass at Holy Saviour Church, 409 E. Main St. Norristown, PA 19401 on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 10am. Mary's viewing will be Tuesday evening from 6 to 8pm only, at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Route 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405.
