Mary R. Hojnacki

Mary R. (Rosa) Hojnacki passed away peacefully on Monday, June 8, 2009, surrounded by her loving family at her residence in Bridgeport, PA. She was 84. Mary worked as a waitress for the former Danny's Diner in Bridgeport, PA, the Hilton in King of Prussia, PA and the Plymouth Country Club in Plymouth Meeting, PA. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, PA and graduated from Bridgeport High School, Class of 1943. Mary enjoyed shopping, bus trips to the casinos, playing bingo, bowling, and most of all spending time with her family. Born in Philadelphia, PA, on May 25, 1925, a daughter of the late Michael and Rosalie (Lauria) Rosa. She was the wife of the late Joseph C. Hojnacki, who died in 1988. Surviving are her loving family including three sons, Joseph A. Hojnacki and his wife, Caroline of Jeffersonville, PA, Stephen J. Hojnacki and his wife, Christine of Downingtown, PA and Timothy D. Hojnacki of Bridgeport, PA; two daughters, Arlene H. Kime and her husband, David of Lancaster, PA and Cheryl A. Hojnacki and her fiancé, David W. Nash of Bridgeport, PA; 7 grandchildren: Kelly, Lisa, Matthew and Melissa Hojnacki, Gabriella and D.J. Kime, and Samantha Nash; one brother; and many nephews and nieces. Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral from The Bacchi-Courtney Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St.(Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Saturday, June 13, 2009 at 8:50am. Followed by her Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 at 9:30am. Officiating will be Rev. Salvatore J. Pronesti, Pastor. Her viewings will be Friday evening, 6 to 8pm and Saturday morning, 8 to 8:50am, both at the funeral home. Interment at St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.
