Mary Jo Brownlie

Mary Jo (McTague) Brownlie passed away peacefully on Monday, February 21, 2022, at Paoli Hospital in Paoli, PA. She was 85. Mrs. Brownlie grew up in Bridgeport, PA, lived in King of Prussia, PA for many years and finally retired to North Cape May, NJ. She attended St. Augustine Grade School and the former Bridgeport High School, where she was Valedictorian for the Class of 1954. Mary Jo worked as an administrative assistant for T. Baird McIlvaine in King of Prussia for over 25 years. Born in Norristown, PA on July 19, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (McGill) McTague; and the wife of the late Robert V. Brownlie, Sr., who died in 2017. Surviving is her loving family including a daughter, Michele (Dennis) McKernan; daughter-in-law, Victoria Brownie; four grandchildren: Mark (Carne) McKernan, Jenifer (Nathan) Mohler, Ryan (Lauren) McKernan and Andrew Brownlie; six great-grandchildren: Luke, Teddy, Coraline, Clare, Emilia and Grady; brother, Jack (Pat) McTague; sister, Frances (Larry) Scott; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert V. Brownlie, Jr.; brothers, James and Joseph McTague; and sisters, Roseanne Mullen and Margaret McTague. Funeral services and interment will be private.
