Mary Rita (Esposto) Mycek

Mary Rita (Esposto) Mycek passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 22, 2014, surrounded by her loving family at her residence in King of Prussia, PA. She was 92. Mrs. Mycek was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia. A homemaker, Mary was devoted to her family and many relatives and friends. She was always trying new recipes and no one ever visited her home without the offer of coffee and a treat. She was known for her love of ice cream and no pepper was hot enough for her.Mary enjoyed fifty summers with her family and friends at her home in Brigantine, NJ. In early years, one would find Mary and her children on the beach all day. In later years, one could find Mary relaxing in a chair soaking up the sun. She loved cooking, was a seamstress and an avid bowler. She bowled for many years with the same team of ladies and looked forward to the annual awards banquet. She loved her grandchildren and often remarked that having them kept her young.Born in Bryn Mawr, PA on August 28, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Saturnino and Adina (D'Angelo) Esposto. She was the wife of the late John S. Mycek, who died in 2006. Surviving is her loving family including two sons, John Mycek and his wife, Chris Novelli, of King of Prussia, PA and Alan Mycek and his wife, Liz, of Wayne, PA; a daughter, Dina M. Romano and her husband, Stephen, of Bridgeport, PA; six grandchildren: Danielle, Andrea, Stephen Jr., Lauren, Marissa and Matthew; a great-grandson, Jeremy; two brothers, Fred Esposto of King of Prussia, PA and Frank Esposto and his wife, Terry, of Ardmore, PA; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by a brother, Vincent "TJ" Esposto. Relatives & friends are invited to Mary's Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be the Rev. Martin T. Cioppi, Pastor. Her viewing is Tuesday from 9:15 to 10:50 am, at the church.
