Mary M. Pierson

Mary M. (Kuchna) Pierson passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Elm Terrace Gardens in Lansdale, PA. She was 92. Mrs. Pierson was a resident of King of Prussia, PA and was previously a long time Bridgeport resident. She worked as a sales clerk for the former John Wanamaker Department Store in King of Prussia. Mary was a devout catholic who was a member of Sacred Heart Church and the former St. Augustine R.C. Church, both in Bridgeport, PA. She was an avid reader who also enjoyed crocheting, sewing and Slovak cooking. Born in Bridgeport, PA on March 8, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Szilagyi) Kuchna. She was the wife of the late Donald R. Pierson, Sr. Surviving is her loving family including two daughters, Donna R. Pierson and Debra R. Pierson, both of King of Prussia; a daughter-in-law, Linda M. Pierson Gunn and her husband, Frederick E. Gunn, Jr.; and a grandson, Frederick E. Gunn III. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald R. Pierson, Jr.; a brother, Michael Kuchna; and two sisters, Elizabeth Bogotuik and Ann Ellow. Relatives & friends are invited to Mary’s Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 10:30 am. Her viewing will be on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:20 am, at the church. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.
