Mary T. Schaaf

Mary T. (Sweeney) Schaaf passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Season's Hospice in Phoenixville, PA. She was 90. Mrs. Schaaf was a resident of Royersford, PA and was previously of King of Prussia, PA. She worked as a part time bookkeeper for the Sugartown Mews Apartments in Devon, PA. Mary was a member of the former St. Augustine R.C. Church in Bridgeport, PA. Born in Shenandoah, PA on April 10, 1927, she was a daughter of the late William T. and Margaret H. (McGuinness) Sweeney. She was the wife of the late Robert L. Schaaf, Sr., who died in 2005. Surviving is her loving family including 7 of her children: Lynn Angelo of Limerick, PA, David M. (Roseann) Schaaf of Skippack, PA, Thomas W. Schaaf of Bridgeport, PA, James J. (Sharon) Schaaf of Pottstown, PA, Joanne P. (Hossein) Khavari of Clifton, VA, Paul D. (Rebecca) Schaaf of Phoenixville, PA and Catherine M. (Gino) D'Vertola of Royersford, PA; 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by 3 daughters: Margaret Schaaf, Patricia Calvert and Louise M. Cayne; 1 son, Robert L. Schaaf, Jr.; and 2 sisters, Margaret H. Sweeney and Patricia H. Bayliff. Relatives & friends are invited to Mary’s Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 10:00 am. Her viewings will be Friday evening from 6 to 8:00 pm, at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405; also Saturday morning from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s memory to the American Stroke Association, P.O. Box 15120, Chicago, ILL 60693.
