Mary C. Toto

Mary C. Toto of South Philadelphia passed on May 31, 2016. She was 95. She was the beloved daughter of Giovanni and Piacentina (Rossi), devoted sister of the late Anna R. (Diletto), loving aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews. Mary was a dedicated elementary and secondary school educator from 1943 through 1981 in the Philadelphia School District. She graduated from Temple University with her B.S. in Education in 1943. In 1951, she received her M.S. in Education from the University of Pennsylvania. In 1963, she received her M.S. in Library Science from Villanova University. Mary was fluent in speaking and writing Italian. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing from 9-9:50 AM and to her funeral mass at 10 AM on Friday, June 3, 2016 at Holy Redeemer St. Joseph Manor 1616 Huntingdon Pike Meadowbrook, PA 19046. Her interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to St. Joseph Manor or St. James Church, Elkins Park PA.
