Mary (Appolonia) Vannicelli passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 25, 2009, surrounded by her loving family at her residence in Reading, PA. She was 81. Mrs. Vannicelli resided with her husband, daughter and son-in-law in Reading and was formerly of King of Prussia, PA. She was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, PA. Mary was also a member of the Upper Merion Senior Center and one of the founders of the King of Prussia Indians Football Association.Born in Philadelphia, PA on December 25, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Anthony T. and Mary N. (Iampieri) Appolonia. Surviving are her loving family including her husband of 56 years, David E. Vannicelli; two daughters, Sandra A. "Sandy" Newstein and her husband, Rick of Reading, PA and Donna C. Wellman and her husband, Tom of Pearl City, Hawaii; five grandchildren: Kristin, David, Colin, Andrew & Jaime; a sister, Ann Savinese and her husband, Stan of Ridley Park, PA; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dominic Appolonia. Relatives, friends and past and present members of the King of Prussia Indians are invited to her Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at 11:00am. Officiating will be the Rev. Msgr. John T. Conway, Pastor. Her viewing will be Thursday morning from 10 to 10:50am, at the church.
