Matthew G. Jimenez, Sr.

Matthew G. "Matt" Jimenez Sr. passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, August 27, 2012 at Montgomery Hospital in Norristown, PA. He was 56. Mr. Jimenez was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. He worked as an auto body repairman for the past 40 years. Matt was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #772 in Norristown, PA, the North American Hunting Club and the Lower Providence Rod & Gun Club. Matt was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed gardening, cooking and being a Philadelphia Flyers fan.Born in Bryn Mawr, PA on December 3, 1955, he was a son of Joseph G. Jimenez of West Conshohocken, PA and the late Ada S. (Bovell) Jimenez. Surviving is his loving family including his father; his wife of 35 years, Maria A. (Auriemma) Jimenez; a son, Matthew G. Jimenez, Jr. and his wife, Krista, of Jeffersonville, PA; a daughter, Alicia M. Jimenez of King of Prussia, PA; three brothers: Joseph W. Jimenez of Bridgeport, PA, Carmen A. Jimenez and his wife, Lena, of King of Prussia, PA and Richard A. Jimenez and his wife, Kathy, of King of Prussia, PA; and many nephews and nieces. Relatives & friends are invited to Matt's Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Friday, August 31, 2012 at 12:00 noon. Officiating will be the Rev. Martin T. Cioppi, Pastor. His viewing will be Friday morning from 10 to 11:50 am, at the church. Interment will be private in Calvary Cemetery, Lower Merion, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Matt's memory to the Montgomery County SPCA, 19 E.
