Maxine B. Holtzman, 102, of Abington, PA, passed away Tuesday, August 28th, 2018 peacefully, at Brookside Nursing Home. Maxine was born in Tamaqua, PA on April 22, 1916, the daughter of the late Elisa Jane (Williams) and Charles Berry. She was the widow of Edwin A. Holtzman. Maxine lived life to its fullest. She loved life, laughter and having fun. She had a hundred interests and engaged in thousands of activities. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an exceptional cook and talented seamstress, an exuberant crafter, a gracious hostess. a generous and steadfast friend. She has been described, quite accurately, as being in perpetual motion for nine decades and more of her long, fruitful life. Maxine is survived by a daughter, Linda Concannon, and a son, Jay Holtzman, husband of Patricia, of Jamestown, RI. Maxine is also survived by her Grandchildren Dr. Liam Holtzman, D.O., partner of Liseda Felau, Eric Holtzman, Kelli Concannon, Franklin Concannon (Elizabeth) and Christine Concannon and Great Grandchildren Alexander and Brynn Holtzman and Cole Greyson Smith. Visitation with Family will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, September 5th at Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home, Inc. in Jenkintown, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at www.aspca.org. Her interment will be at Whitemarsh Memorial Park in Ambler, PA.
