Melanie F. Sharpe

Melanie Flis Sharpe, August 25, 1930 to November 23, 2020, a beloved 10 year resident of Rydal Park, died peacefully early Monday morning. Originally from Bridesburg in NE Philadelphia, Melanie was the youngest child of Thomas and Aleksandra Flis. In 1956, Melanie married Francis X. McGeehan (1925-1989) of South Philadelphia, and moved to Hatboro, PA where they raised five children. After Frank's death in 1989, Melanie remarried Francis 'Sonny' Sharpe (1935-2006) of Roxborough, Philadelphia. The two retired and moved to a home in Cape May, NJ. Sonny passed away in 2006. Melanie is survived by her five children and their spouses: John McGeehan and Faune Yerby, Kevin and Stacie McGeehan, Chris and Kathy McGeehan, Melanie and Eric Edenholm and Mary and Kelly Lawler; her fourteen grandchildren: Kevin Jr., Jason, Jennifer, Sean, Melissa, Sarah, Spencer, Colin, Maxwell, Roxanne, Meghan, Jonathan, Grace and Shannon; and her four great-grandchildren: Shaelynn, Nathan, Ryan, Liam A Graveside Memorial Service will be live streamed at 1 PM on Friday, November 27th, 2020. Services have been entrusted to Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home.
