Melissa Dianne Santillo

Melissa Dianne Santillo, age 32, of King of Prussia, passed away peacefully on Christmas Day, following a brief illness. She was born on May 27, 1978, the beloved daughter of Michael D., Sr., and Jean (Gamett) Santillo. Melissa was employed in the office of Dr. Robert Ritrovato, DMD, in Bridgeport. She loved her work and was extremely bright and always eager to acquire new knowledge. She was formerly a volunteer EMT with Lafayette Ambulance and Rescue Squad and a firefighter with King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Company. Melissa was gifted with many talents, and was especially creative in the field of art. She loved music, Irish dancing, playing the guitar, photography, travel, and all animals. Her family and friends were important to her, and she exhibited unselfish devotion. She touched many lives and will be sadly missed. Melissa is survived by her loving parents, Michael and Jean; two brothers, Michael Jr. and Christopher; fiancée, William Mooney; and her beloved cat, Tommy. She was predeceased by a sister, Michele; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Ruth Garnett; and paternal grandparents, Michael and Madeline Santillo. A memorial service for immediate family and close friends will be held on Friday, December 31, 2010 at 11:00am, at the First Presbyterian Church of Port Kennedy, 1084 Old Valley Forge Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406. Officiating will be the Rev. Daniel Morse, Pastor.In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to the First Presbyterian Church of Port Kennedy at the above address; the Montgomery County SPCA, 19 E. Ridge Pike, Conshohocken, PA 19428; or any animal rescue group.
