Michael S. Banas

Michael S. Banas passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at his home in King of Prussia, PA. He was 80. Mr. Banas worked as a beautician and owned and operated the Style Corner in Bridgeport, PA for many years. He was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia. Michael was a devout Catholic who was a member of the Knights of Columbus and an avid Notre Dame fan. He enjoyed fishing, wood working, gardening and cooking. Michael was a US Army veteran who was stationed in Alaska. Born in Norristown, PA on September 28, 1940, he was a son of the late Michael and Anna (Hindo) Banas. Surviving is his loving family including his wife, Joan B. (Bean) Banas; 2 sons, Dennis McKernan and his wife, Michele, and Mark McKernan; a daughter, Lynn McKernan and her husband, Gary Tomeo; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; a sister, Nancy DeAngelo; and many other loving family members. The family will receive relatives & friends at the Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St., Bridgeport, PA on Monday, October 26, 2020 from 8 to 9:30 am. Knights of Columbus Service will be at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA at 10:15 AM; with his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, W. Conshohocken, PA. Masks and social distancing are required.
