Michael R. Centrella Iii

Michael R. Centrella, III passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at his residence in King of Prussia, PA. He was 75. Michael graduated from Lower Merion High School, Class of 1965 and graduated from Drexel University, Class of 1970, with his Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce & Engineering. While at Drexel University, he was a Beta Nu brother and still loved getting together with his brothers, after all these years. Michael was the owner of Michael’s Deli in King of Prussia, PA for over 36 years and was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, PA. He enjoyed going down to the shore with his family and friends.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on June 3, 1947, he was a son of the late Helen (Breeze) and Michael R. Centrella, Jr. Surviving are his loving family including his wife, Eileen (Cullen) Centrella; a step-son, Anthony Volpi, III; 3 step-daughters, Sissy Morelock (Kevin), Melissa Grozinski-Wolff (Ken), and Janeen Jonak (Peter); 8 grandchildren: Luca, Dylan, Giovanna, Makenzie, Sydney, Brennan, Adelyn, and Aubrey; a brother, Steven Centrella; 2 sisters, Janet Boland (Michael) and Susan Taylor (Kurt); and many other loving family members. He is preceded in death by a brother, Philip Centrella.

Relatives and friends are invited to Michael’s viewing at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Monday, September 12, 2022 from 9:00 am to 10:15 am, Eulogy will begin at 10:20 am, and his Funeral Mass at 10:30 am. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Conshohocken, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mother of Divine Providence Church at the above address and/or the Upper Merion Police K9 Unit, 175 W. Valley Forge Rd., King of Prussia PA 19406.
