Michael Joseph D'Auria

Michael Joseph D'Auria passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 4,2020, surrounded by his loved ones at his residence in King of Prussia, PA. He was 87. Mr. D’Auria was a member of Sacred Heart Church and a former member of St. Augustine Church, both in Bridgeport, PA. He attended Temple University and worked for 35 years as a manager of Graphic Arts for GE in King of Prussia. Michael was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. Born in Philadelphia, PA on July 30, 1932, he was the son of the late Michael A. and Elizabeth (Simone) D’Auria. Surviving is his family including his loving wife of 65 years, Viola May (Owens) D’Auria; he was the cherished father of John M. D’Auria of Chesterbrook, PA and Daniel T. D’Auria and his wife, Diane, of West Chester, PA; grandfather to Nicole and her husband, Vic, Christopher, Dana and John Michael; a brother, Richard D’Auria; and a sister, Elizabeth Carlin and her husband, Andrew; and he was about to become a great-grandfather in June. Michael was preceded in death by a grandson, baby Danny. Relatives and friends are invited to Michael’s viewing at Sacred Heart Church,120 Jefferson St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Saturday, February 8, 2020 from 9 am to 10:15 am, with his Funeral Mass to immediately follow at 10:30 am. Interment will be in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michael’s memory to the Coatesville VA Medical Center, 1400 Black Horse Hill Rd., Coatesville, PA 19320.
