Michael Defelice

Michael "Mike" DeFelice passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 9, 2009 at Montgomery Hospital in Norristown, PA. He was 92. Mr. DeFelice was a resident of Plymouth Twp., PA. He worked as a tire builder for the former B.F. Goodrich Tire Company in Oaks, PA. Mike was a member of St. Cosmas & Damian Church in Conshohocken, PA. He was also a member of the Senior Adult Activity Center and he was a volunteer for the former Sacred Heart Hospital, both in Norristown, PA. Mr. DeFelice was a US Army veteran of WW II, serving from 1941 to 1945 in the Pacific Theatre of Operations.Born in Philadelphia, PA on May 17, 1917, he was a son of the late Carlo and Mary (Pirelli) DeFelice. Surviving are his loving family including his wife, Assunta M. "Sue" (Mastermarino) DeFelice; a son, Michael J. DeFelice and his wife, Deborah of Hatfield, PA; a daughter, Elaine M. Gansz and her husband, J. Daniel of Lansdale, PA; five grandchildren: Maria, J. Daniel, Michael, Gregory and Gina; three great-grandchildren: Amber, Austin and Aidan; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Anthony and Charles DeFelice; and 6 sisters: Clara Galliano, Virginia Schwartz, Phyllis Naimoli, Rose Piccirilli, Mary Naimoli and Theresa Falcone.Relatives & friends are invited to his Funeral Mass at St. Cosmas & Damian Church, 209 W. 5th Ave., Conshohocken, PA 19428 on Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 11:30am.Officiating will be the Rev. Gasper A. Genuardi, Pastor. His viewing will be Thursday morning from 10 to 11:20am, at the church. Entombment in St. Patrick's Cemetery Mausoleum, E.
