Michael E. Degnan

Michael E. Degnan passed away suddenly on Monday, November 9, 2015 at his residence in Norristown, PA. He was 61. Mr. Degnan worked as a foreman for Vimco in King of Prussia, PA, for 14 years. He was a member of the VFW Post 7878 in King of Prussia. Michael enjoyed shooting pool and he boxed while in the Navy. He loved all of the Philly sports teams, especially the Eagles. Michael was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam Era. Born in Norristown, PA on September 18, 1954, he was a son of Madeline (Bennis) Degnan of Kimberton, PA and the late James Henry Degnan. Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife of 7 months, Holly (Gayser) Degnan; two sons, Michael Degnan, Jr. and Jason Degnan, both of Oregon; a step-daughter, Heather (Robert) Gordon of Norristown, PA; four granddaughters: Jazmine, Luna Jade, Isabelle and Ruby; one grandson, Malcolm; four brothers: James (Rikki), Thomas, Dan & Patrick; a sister, Mary (Chip) Phelps; three sisters-in-law: Susan (John) Gillespie, Sharon Gayser and Diane Degnan; mother-in-law, Gladys Gayser; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Degnan. Relatives and friends are invited to Michael’s Prayer Service at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 11:00 am.
