Michael John Furlong

Michael J. Furlong, 64, of Jenkintown, PA passed suddenly on Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Abington Memorial Hospital. Michael was born on October 20, 1957 to the late Carol (nee Schaefer) and Robert J. Furlong. Beloved husband of Shelia Ann (nee Tobin). Loving father of Sean Michael and caring brother to his sister Nancy. Michael is also survived by his siblings; Robert J. Jr. (Cindy), Nancy Furlong, Thomas (Nancy) and Patrick, In-laws; Patrick Tobin (Maureen) and Maureen O’Callaghan (nee Tobin) and 13 nieces and nephews. After graduating from Shippensburg State University Mike worked in manufacturing before starting a career at the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores. Mike was an avid fan of Philadelphia sports teams (Sixers, Phillies, and Eagles), enjoyed music, and loved visits with family to the New Jersey Shore. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Wednesday, August 24th from 9:30-10:45 AM and funeral mass at 11:00 AM both at Immaculate Conception BVM Church, 602 West Ave. Jenkintown, PA 19046.
