Michael V. Grillo passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at Regina Nursing Center in Norristown, PA. He was 85. Mr. Grillo was a resident of Norristown, PA. He worked as an insurance salesman for the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. Michael was a very active member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Norristown, PA. Mr. Grillo was a US Navy veteran of WW II, serving as a Seaman First Class aboard the USS Franklin King. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on November 16, 1923, he was a son of the late Fortunata and Francesca (Lamanna) Grillo. Surviving are his loving family including his wife of 62 years, Madeline (Dinnini) Grillo; three sons, Michael J. Grillo and his wife, Ellen of Belgium, Mark S. Grillo and his wife, Suzanne of E. Norriton, PA and Thomas J. Grillo and his wife, Michelle of Morgantown, PA; a daughter, Monica Grillo of Norristown, PA; six grandchildren: Derek, Brian, Richard, Angela, Mark and Paul,; two great-grandchildren, Gwyneth and Whitman; and a sister, Immaculata Brandi of Pittsburgh, PA. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard D. Grillo; a daughter, Madeline Grillo; and many brothers and sisters.Relatives & friends are invited to his Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 600 Hamilton St., Norristown, PA 19401 on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at 10:30am. His viewing is Thursday morning from 9 to 10:20am, at the church. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, East Norriton, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Michael's memory to the Regina Nursing Center, 550 E.
